The latest facebook social media news is that they are updating the way their page likes are counter.
They are going to be removing memorialized from business pages like counts to make facebook likes more accurate, meaningful and up to date.
Page administrators will expect to see a small drop in their business page likes over the next few weeks especially if the account has been de-activated and re-activated but the like count will be re-added making your pages more valuable to your users and of course facebook.
Personally I think it is a great idea, google are already pushing forward major changes in making the web a better place by promotion of web page speed, mobile usability and friendliness. Now it looks like facebook are making their page likes more consistent across the web.
